Back in the Saddle

So I thought I should try and get back into the blog habit.  So the first post back I think in two years (maybe more).  I thought I'd start with an updated picture from Valentine's Day 2012.

We had a great day the boys were home with Dustin while I was at work.  I woke up early and got the boys' gifts set out on the table, then I made them heart waffles and heart shape bananas.  Yes I did cut each slice of banana individually into a heart.  VERY time consuming and in the end the boys didn't want to eat any of it :-/

We had lunch with Grandma Greta and Peyton enjoyed a chocolate milk shake and not much of anything else.

Dustin and I decided to make the boys pizza that night, of course with heart shaped pepperoni.  The boys were in bed early and I cooked a nice steak and potato dinner.  It was such a great day!

I swear Parker was there too although I didn't document him much.  I know bad mama!!!

Bee Mine

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful day full of love here at the Pitman house....well sort of ;)

It started with breakfast. I got up and cooked pink pancakes with chocolate chips in them and eggs. It's a VERY rare occasion for me to cook a breakfast like this! I was all excited to make this a special day even though Petyon doesn't really know any different which became apparent as he spit out all his food. He would not eat any of his "special" breakfast he just kept sticking out his tongue and saying BLAH as he spit it out. Such a little stinker!!

The "special" breakfast

Peyton not eating any of his food, at least he was happy for the time being!

After breakfast it was time for Peytons gifts. I love Valentines day I love getting little presents and I can't wait for Peyton to get older and really get into it.

Oooo we are SO excited!

A new duckie that squirts water, that will be fun at bath time

A love Monkey for our Monkey : )

Valentine's day wasn't just about Peyton Daddy got peanut butter kiss cookies, hot sauce (his favorite) and Beer's from around the world. What guy doesn't like beer!?!

Mommy was spoiled too she got a gift card for coffee from her boys. Such a wonderful day! We hope you all had a great day too :)

Peyton's First X-Ray

As most of you know we had to take Peyton into the Doctor Monday after he fell while playing with our dog. The x-rays all looked great but he could have a break in his growth plate, they have no way of knowing that for sure. They reassured us that he is fine and he will start walking again once his leg is all healed up...

While at work today I received a video from Dustin and it was Peyton WALKING or should I say limping around. I feel so bad that our baby is hurting but happy that he is starting to walk a little. I just hope he gets back to his rambunctious self soon!

Weekend catch up

This weekend Dustin and I hosted our first Super Bowl party in our home. It was a lot of fun filled with tons of food and wonderful friends. The guys all had fun and I think paid for it the next day ;) It makes me realize how much I miss hanging out with friends and would love to have more weekend get togethers!

Having about 15 people over got me motivated to clean house. I spent ALL weekend cleaning and doing laundry. Come time of the party I was exhausted! So I've come up with a new plan for keeping house:

Sunday: Livingroom & Kitchen (dust, vacuum, sweep/mop, windows, wash dish rags)

Monday: OFF it's my big TV night :)

Tuesday: Dustin/Jen Laundry

Wednesday: Peyton Laundry

Thursday: Upstairs (dust,vacuum,windows)

Friday: OFF

Saturday: Bathrooms (floors, tub, sink, mirror, toilets etc)

I'm hoping that by keeping with this schedule it will help me to avoid those intense cleaning sessions. I will keep you posted whether or not it works! I just hope I can keep motivated!

I don't believe I have ever posted a picture of our Pup Ruby so I will leave you with our other addition to our family.

Our sad trip to see Santa

I was so happy that Peyton had taken a great nap right before we went to visit Santa. He was in a great mood all the way to the mall talking and laughing in his car seat. THEN it was time to see Santa, the pictures tell the story perfectly!

I love this sad little face although he was terrified of Santa and just wanted to get off of his lap!

Christmas Eve

It's been my family tradition to go to church on Christmas Eve and then open presents when we got home. That way Santa had plenty of room to leave his goodies in the morning. Dustin and I are still working on what will be our family traditions, with Dustin working this year it was just Peyton, myself and my parents off to church and presents had to wait until the morning :(

Here we are off to Church

I've been bad

FINALLY WE HAVE INTERNET!!! Here are a few catch up posts for you:

We've been busy getting things ready for Dustin's Birthday and Christmas. We are planning on having a pretty low key Christmas with my parents. They are very excited to see Peyton who is getting bigger each day. Here are a few pictures I was able to snap of him in front of the tree.
